Dr. Meredith Gartin is a biocultural anthropologist and scholar of Global Health. Her areas of expertise include urban food systems and ethnoecological models of water systems. As a member of the RCN, she is interested in finding new ways to measure sustainability that enables cross-ecological and cross-cultural comparisons with the most robust methods available. She has worked in the cities of Phoenix, Arizona (US) and San Lorenzo, Paraguay.
Dr. Gartin co-leads the Sustainability Indicators working group. And, has plans to develop a group focused on public health issues as they relate to urban sustainability in the near future.
